My friend confronted me in the lan centre i frequent and said he's setting up the whole goddamn game on Monday and wanted me to come. URRH, I want to believe this is true but it's most likely the beta and not the whole game as he says it is.

It's a release of a beta, and they did release it the day they wanted to

of course they completely fucked up and fucked up the linux binarys

Well yeah, release was on time, the time you actually got to play it was a different story, though. I think that's the more important factor, since what's the point of releasing it if only fucking Valve employees and bots can play?
