By the way, just so it's understood, my main complaint here was the admin that let some jackass go around with my name and then banning me for it. Maybe you can check the logs and make sure blank, but to my recollection I've never gone on there with the sole purpose of causing trouble like that. Would you have just preferred I didn't post this?

You weren't banned because he stole your name, you were banned because you wouldn't stop complaining even when an admin told you to stop. The person was banned as well (for stealing your name), so you can stop going on about it. It's done and over.
