The original was MUCH simpler, didn't have cubemaps, resupply lockers, or any other fancy shit.

And it does need a shoot 'em both and bury 'em in a deep hole in the desert, in a booby trapped, dimethylmercury filled, reinforced concrete vault, option.

Why?
I see no point in completely recreating the map if people already like rooftime the way it is.
Optimizing it, and removing the bottom section are the only things I really need to fix.
Unless, of course, you have another idea for changing rooftime.
Also, why are there quotes around "optimized"?
Optimizing is just making it run faster, so I wouldn't lie about making the map faster...

wolsk he's saying if you use any decompiling software (rather than asking KoD for the VMF), it won't turn out right.

Nobody will get the VMF without proof that you are a capable, skilled mapper and has proven themselves dedicated to mapping.

If you decompile the original rooftime and try to "optimize" it, then it wont be put on TF4.

The only reason you should EVER decompile a map, EVER, is to get dimensions for recreation or to learn how something is made/works.
