Well don't let me stop you guys from doing lfd2, if you really must, maybe I'll pick up a copy of the game finally. MAYBE I'LL DROP OUT.
- If Nipper doesn't participate in it, neither do I. Simply because an abstract pack without Nipper is not the same. It's like... a Doom game without demons or a Red Alert game without Soviets.
Lame.. The first successful map 'project' was de_joeto (and it was abstract) and nipper didn't participate! It wasn't a pack, but it had a bunch of collaborators! Aaaand ayeyah mentioned how the next one was a failure, but THAT'S NOT THE POINT.
- I want to be sure that people who say "I'm in" really ARE in. No more bullshit where people drop out after x weeks. It happened so much in the past. It's annoying as fuck.
Heh, alright. If I say I'm in and start running out of time I'll be sure to just finish what I have and make it work.

Yeah I don't play ANY games these days, so I'm pretty indifferent about what game we choose.

But yeah if it's lfd2, someone's gonna have to gift me a copy. If not, I'll buy it perhaps.

There was de_joeto (cs 1.6): link

Then there was de_joethree which ayeyah linked to on the last page. It was NOT finished fully and it was also cs 1.6.

Okay. I have one already started from a few weeks ago. I'm in Destin, FL at a resort right now so I'll be back in ... 2 weeks or something like that...

Yeah I guess I'm going to have to pick up a copy to try these maps out. Was kinda hoping I didn't have to though...

I'm waiting for Nipper's "official" go before putting my current map on hold. I think he wants to release beta1 of Night Terror before that. I dunno.

I'll start making my map for L4D2 then. Do custom sounds still not work? I have like 40 song loops I have to choose from, but won't be worth anything if I can't use them, ya know?
There used to be a signature here, but it's gone now.

Chet has confirmed they're looking into the problem so with some luck it'll be fixed in 2017. However, you only have to run snd_rebuildaudiocache once to make it all work permanently.
I'm probably gonna participate in this too. I want to make something abstract again.
It's gonna require organisation though: who makes the finale? Who will sew the maps together? Who makes the first map? Who leads the project (if Nipper's in, I guess he'll lead if he wants to), etc.

Just keep one thing in mind: Valve is currently collecting good custom L4D2 campaigns and putting them on their server. Their plan is to start promoting them in the future on their blog and perhaps have them distributed.

If you use any copyrighted songs, it will ruin all chances of that ever happening to this campaign.
