Hello!
So I was talking to someone on mc4 before, and they were getting annoyed that their hidden chests were being found constantly and all their stuff was being stolen, so I thought it would be cool if we could get LWC mod or some custom coded chest protection mod, so we can lock chests with passwords, and actually store stuff

well.... its too safe.. kind of, but on the other side, the reason that most people dont play on mc4 is because of raiding... i say yes, add this!

No thanks. MC4 is survival. Part of that involves risking losing everything.

I've been playing here a few weeks and haven't been raided once.. Though I am a surprisingly far distance from spawn :P I never encounter anyone unless I decide to make the long trip back.

This would be good for MC2. There are lots of reports of "someone stole my stuff". Why people don't just respawn more though, I don't know.

Yea but it's kind of not necessary, cause they can just spawn more stuff.

My base has been blown apart so many times it hardly resembles a base anymore. My chest is still where I left it.

Hide stuff better.

Even chests with a password can be destroyed, and there are people with that mentality, that if they can't have certain items, then the person they were going to steal from can't have them either.

My opinion is this:

mc2: genius idea. so many people complain about getting their store roleplay being destroyed and admins don't care because they can spawn the stuff back. This plugin would greatly help those people. It would also help the people that play in no-spawning towns.

mc4: i've suggested this idea before: people can have a 24-hour chest lock 1-3 times weekly. this would need the chest block to be unbreakable for that time too. It would add a more strategic element to mc4. I firmly believe that j2 is capable of making this. But does j2 want to make mc4 less vanilla?

If there was no raiding on mc4, i would be playing it 24/7, and with this mod, I wouldn't have to load my inventory up before i log off.

I don't think it matters how good you hide your stuff. I buried 6 chest underground at random spots and all of them were perfectly dug out. It's like the person hacked their game to find them. Because of that, I would like to have this mod on.

or they spam you until you give them the password

or they try stuff until they're right

or they wait until you load ANYTHING into your inventory, then kill you

it would only encourage more sneaky assholeness, instead of open assholeness

I would prefer to just nerf chest all together. Everytime you try to use it it would say "sorry"
