i'll just be getting a physical copy anyway. on what will undoubtedly be a shitty connection up at my college, a physical copy just seems more practical

What is the point of going to college if you don't get a crazy good interwebs hookup?
Sounds like you picked the wrong school

Because, since you don't know me, there is a great possibility that I'm on an higher intellectuel level then you are on.

This is hilarious, fuck EA. ME3 will be the last game I ever buy from them.

They aren't even going to be doing everything steam can do when Origin lunched. I think they are going to pull a vista. A bad lunch yet worked better then what came before at lunch, but well never live it down.

I find it hard to believe there isn't one EA published game that you like. They publish tons of developers' games... you have to like at least one of them.

In reality, the best sex results from good communication and planning; like a Rainbow 6 mission.

how about cite some sources and give a brief amount of info right now you are assuming people care and/or noticed Crysis2 was available on steam

It’s unfortunate that Steam has removed Crysis 2 from their service. This was not an EA decision or the result of any action by EA.
Steam has imposed a set of business terms for developers hoping to sell content on that service – many of which are not imposed by other online game services. Unfortunately, Crytek has an agreement with another download service which violates the new rules from Steam and resulted in its expulsion of Crysis 2 from Steam.
Crysis 2 continues to be available on several other download services including GameStop, Amazon, Origin.com and more.

It's not really EA that's making Battlefield, Mass Effect, or Crysis though.
Even if you buy a physical copy of BF3, I would think you'd still have to download/install origins. Just like you have to download/install Steam if you bought Portal 2 from the stores.

Re: EA games being removed from Steam to be Origin Exclusive.
While looking at this list of games to see if I cared about EA at all http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_El ... Arts_games I discovered that there were VERY few games that I even really cared about at all made by EA. If EA had never existed, my life would have almost entirely been the exact same. The only games I saw that I truely enjoyed were the Simcity and Sims games. Then there's MULE, I guess that is one game I did enjoy. The "M" and "N" section are pretty hilarious on that list. All the MADDEN METAL OF HONOR NASCAR NBA NEED FOR SPEED NHL. That's the type of money EA wants to make. They want to turn out a subpar sequel to a slightly over par game once a year. I suppose there's a pretty big crowd that likes those type of games, I just don't happen to be a part of that group of people.
