Sounds like you can give bought items to another person? Sounds interesting. I'm not sure if you could do that in DOTA, but I know there are a few times in LoL where I wish it was possible.

OH YES! Enchantress! I LOVED that hero! She was so badass, loved her play style.

i think in dota you can drop items on the ground and other people can pick them up if you have shared control but it's been a long time since i played so i could be wrong

I think originally you could drop items on the ground, but when anyone else picked it up they were disabled. Or atleast when the ENEMY picked it up it was disabled, allies may have been a different story.

Yeah, at first you could just give items to whoever. Then they added all sorts of restrictions. You could always drop your items but if someone else picked them up, most items were disabled. Unless the host specifically enabled item sharing.

So why would you drop a disabled item?

Should I phrase it as, "Why would you drop an item that would just be disabled?" Is there some unshared information that makes that feature still useful? E.g. you can later pick it back up?
I could imagine creating a cache of health regen/gold per items in the middle of a map and instead of blue pilling, dropping all items and picking those up. (I am using LoL terminology)

Duagan, you'd drop items because if you needed to make something with a recipe, you'd need all the items in your inventory- a lot of the time, you could only manage this by dropping stuff you currently had

You could pick them up later. And anyone could attack them to destroy them. So you'd only drop them in the heart of your base.
