Re: surreal map
World portals are really fucking cool.
I believe they can only be used in Portal 2, though.

Re: surreal map
Nice map. Me like.
Does it work for multiplayer? Judging from the video, the map changed according the angle and position of a single person. If there were multiple people, would it still work?
That, or I don't know shit.

The map teleport whoever goes into a certain spot to a new spot that looks about the same, to make it seem like the room is changing, so I have a feeling that it would work in multiplayer.func_? wrote:Nice map. Me like.

Re: surreal map
Actually, I saw a similar video (from the same guy I am pretty sure) demonstrating an 'infinite staircase' and he claimed it used no teleports. He showed a shot from hammer and it had some brushes on each corner but it wasn't teleports, I don't know how the fuck he did it, but he claimed he did it without them.Wolsk wrote:The map teleport whoever goes into a certain spot to a new spot that looks about the same, to make it seem like the room is changing, so I have a feeling that it would work in multiplayer.func_? wrote:Nice map. Re: surreal map
when a player goes through a world portal into an "identical room", like the sideways room, they are technically in a different locationWolsk wrote:The map teleport whoever goes into a certain spot to a new spot that looks about the same, to make it seem like the room is changing, so I have a feeling that it would work in multiplayer.func_? wrote:Nice map. That, or I don't know shit.
therefore, unless there is a world portal cutting diagonally across that room, you can go through the portal, but no one would see you
tl;dr world portals work in multiplayer, but if done wrong, other players can't see their effects
