Bush destroying US credibility

Post by Cc_Hairy » Sat Sep 06, 2003 1:10 pm

Bush on NK in April 2003:
  • NK is "back to the old blackmail game"
"This will give us an opportunity to say to the North Koreans and the world we're not going to be threatened,"
Bush on NK in August 2003:
  • NK "has nuclear weapons, but the U.S. will not respond to threats or give in to blackmail."
Bush on NK in Sept 2003:
  • North Korea "would not have to do everything" before getting something in return - NK must no longer meet U.S. nuclear disarmament demands before it can be offered economic assistance and other benefits
Bill Maher on Bush in February pointed out that Bush should have never referred to international relations as blackmail, or referred to them as Evil, his original approach was misguided and incompetent.

Now the US is embarrassed (again) by an unelected fratboy, when reality catches up and forces him to grovel on the world stage.
