The Specialists

Post by Verite » Mon Oct 27, 2003 5:59 pm

I noticed recently that the ns3.joe.to server has been running The Specialists. For anyone who hasn't tried this mod... its a fast paced deathmatch type mod, with lots of guns and matrix-style moves (flips, kung fu, etc). I find it quite fun, and if it had good teamplay it would probably be better than CS.

Anyway, I haven't been able to connect to ns3.joe.to. It keeps giving me "Steam Validation Rejected." Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I'd love to play TS with the Team Goals regulars. Also... is ns3.joe.to going to be running TS from now on? That would be awesome.

If the server were to permanently run TS, then I'm sure we could have a no-hacking/exploiting policy similar to Team Goals that admins could enforce.

Hey, if there was always an admin on, that would rule.

Fixed my problem with "Steam Validation Rejected." Just ran TS from /Sierra/Half-Life instead of thru steam.

Dude, they're not going to do that. The only thing that's going to cost you money is if you want to subscribe to a game through Steam as opposed to buying it.

Steam

Will

Never

Cost

Money

Unless you choose to subscribe to it to purchase games instead of actually buying the games themselves.

That game is great.
I love to just run around with the fully auto glock until I run out of bullets and then start kung fu.
I think that mod has some of the best death match play ever
but after about an hour smoke starts coming out my ears
from combat overload.
