Well looky here. I've been saying this for ages, but it seems someone finnaly made an article on it. :D

According to this, a person who plays videogames, has about the same mental advantages as a bilingual person has to a monolingual person. You know, with out knowing another language.

I'm somewhat skeptical, but really, as long as a game isnt totatly mindless, your still exercising your brain.

I'd hope so, forums like these (or what they used to be) actually engage in some mature conversation, types that are non-existant with normal teenagers because they just don't fucking care.
