$16,000 starting money?

I can't seem to find the forum entry or poll that is responsible for the $16,000 starting money so I'm not sure what the reason for the change is. I would like to suggest that it be lowered back to $800 or at least the $8,000 range (more than enough to get started). My objections are that too much money will decrease the motivation to complete map objective, as well as lower the respect of new people coming to the server that don't realize serious players dwell at Nipper's too. My first thought was "oh fun mode, what is the gravity set at". Bash me if you like but I think it's a mistake.

yah all of a sudden the money is starting at 16,000. i really hate when servers do that because it ruins the pistol round.

I noticed somthing else strange while playing cars_n_robots. I killed a teamate and was punished at the beginning of the next round as if /ff were on. I wonder what other changes have been made that are a little harder to detect.
