I got bored and redid mRgRiM's skull in Photoshop in different layers. If anyone's interested, you can get it here for use in whatever (that is if Gr¦m says it's OK to use it). I seperated it into 5 layers: the skull outline (everything that's black), the skull background (the white), the text, the text fill (the orange part of j2), and the eye glow. It's nice if you want to get rid of that gray background but still have the eye glow, or if you want to get rid of the eye glow, or color it something else. There are lots of possibilities with the file.

I like the logo!

And yes I want to decorate the room a bit more, but not too much. I don't like it when a room is too "overloaded"

how about the house from Poltergeist, with full poltergiest action:

rope covered in mucus
giant hole filled with mud and skeletons
room with spinning floating toys
closet with giant lion monster ghost
evil clown
evil tree outside
tv playing static

seems like a rich concept for a map, i have no idea how it could be worked into a counterstrike map though

Compress dat shit yo. I got it down to 341kb if anyone wants that.

Poltergeist house would be cool, you would need custom props (models) for it to be really good though :(

So, who's in?

-NIPPER
-Ape
-Ronin?
-Alpha
-Deski
-MrBlip
-Magnus?
-I, Dr.Waffle
-... am I forgetting anyone?

If all of these people actually do make a map, it would be the biggest mappack we made so far... on the three mappacks we made since last year that is.

PS: I added the rules and due date to my first post in this thread

Aww come one de_elemental was an amazing piece of art. Don't tell me you're not going to make a Halloween map. If you don't, I'll come down to your place and kill you. :)

hello, I don't play cs, but I may try to build a map if at least I find a decent idea and can get the game back from my friend.
and my questions :
is it ok if I make the map with the half life 1 editor? my pc will never be able to run half life 2...
about the theme of the map, do we have to make the classic haloween map (like the haunted castle/mansion)or are we free (I guess, provided that the map is frightening)?
I downloaded the css overviews from nipper's site, but how do I open .vtf / .VMT files? I remember when I downloaded overviews for cs, I could open them like any picture.

Well, it is a Counterstrike Source mappack but the one in charge of our mappacks is NIPPER. Maybe he'll agree to have like a bunch of CS Source maps and one CS 1.6 map in this mappack. I'll let him decide.
However, even if it's "no" you can still make your map and release it on your own... if your map is good (not a sloppy, crappy map but a decent de_ or cs_ map) I sure will put a link to it in my map's readme file.

As for your question on the theme, the important thing is that it's a halloween map. Wether that be in a haunted mansion, a haunted castle, haunted forest, Hell, big graveyard, nightmare world or whatever, the important thing is that the theme is spooky and gives the Halloween feeling.
