F is for friends who do stuff together...

I'm intrigued. I think it'll be something like arena with added mechanic of being able to make (secret) alliances with enemies.

The sound files are apparently already integrated
AKA, you can hear them if you play VALVe maps
Robin has stated that no ones figured out what they represent yet, but they represent SOMETHING

My guess is a new type of objective (new game-mode) that was given to both teams to fight over, but are also given a choice to make friendships with the enemy to work together or something

the files don't reference an update :|
because they're already in game, whatever VALVe did has been integrated and we have to find out what it is
although there's most likely gonna be an update within the month that utilizes the sound clips as well, but before we make wild speculations on what the update could contain we should figure out what the sound clips are for.

I heard some of them in-game while playing DesertFortress though; is Deserftfortress a Valve map?

A muti-team-deathmatch gamemode should be cool, maybe with a system to create BF-style "squads" where you can respawn on top of other members of your "team"?
