You should have actually read the article. They have a built in time-delay variable. You can delay the stream as long as you want to prevent cheating.

The less real time, the more I don't want to spectate.. at least personally. Say I log on and I have to wait for my friend's game to end- it would be cool to watch his game until he is done. Even a 30 second delay could have it's advantages (someone creeping in a forest or something) although probably not so much with really good players- where they already have a good sense of what everyone is doing. Agh.. okay, I changed my mind though, that's really the only fair way to do it :p
