CDC recommendations in case of zombie attack

Post by joe » Wed May 18, 2011 10:01 pm

http://blogs.cdc.gov/publichealthmatter ... pocalypse/

might want to get that survival kit ready
Step 4:
Plan your evacuation route. When zombies are hungry they won’t stop until they get food (i.e., brains), which means you need to get out of town fast! Plan where you would go and multiple routes you would take ahead of time so that the flesh eaters don’t have a chance! This is also helpful when natural disasters strike and you have to take shelter fast.

Be sure to include a can or two of tactical bacon in any survival kit. http://www.thinkgeek.com/caffeine/wacky-edibles/c399/
54 slices that has a 10 year shelf life, it's perfect.

this is a rather smart way to engage young/alternative people in disaster safety lol

In reality, the best sex results from good communication and planning; like a Rainbow 6 mission.

I may need to contact the local chapter of the red cross on the other emergencies possible. They mentioned some in the paragraph but I'm wondering if we're in danger of severe beaver overpopulation, wizardry pow-wows, and the ever present communist threat.

Your best bet is to read The Zombie Survival Guide. Ignore the section about recorded incidents throughout history (as it's fiction), and stick to the rest of the book where it tells you how to prepare yourself for a zombie apocalypse, what to do in many different situations, what weapons are the best to use, places to look for and places to avoid, and much more.

I dunno about WEPONS, but weapons...

Of course they wouldn't say anything about weapons, this is just a ploy to get people to prepare for natural disasters, and having people stockpile weapons would just invite trouble.

Sorry for my spelling, and also I think they should add something about it (that is just my opinion).

That would be a terrible idea, panicked people running around with guns in the middle of a major natural disaster? Not a good idea.

I don't think the CDC really did it as a joke, I think that in light of recent natural disasters in the US, they realized that people were in general, woefully unprepared, and that they could increase preparedness through this.
