Star Wars: The Old Republic
Any of you guys getting this?
I just pre-ordered it because all of my friends from home are getting it and I don't want to be bored this winter break D:
I believe I will be joining the sith empire... I'll be playing on The Fatman server.

I would get it, but on top of getting the game I have to pay monthly fees. I hate that so much.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Got news my copy had been shifted yesterday, thankfully STO is going free to play so I can get rid of my sub for that.
I used to be against paying monthly for games, however £8.99 for a month of gaming isn't that much. I mean to go see a film for a couple hours at the cinema you are looking at £6($9.50) for the ticket and then parking, food etc. Turns into a £20($32) film. God knows how they can charge £5($8) for popcorn. And £4($6.50) for a coke.

Played it during beta, was meh.
Roommate wants to play, so I let him use a computer I have... I might play a bit to help him (he doesn't play PC games).

Game looks like shit.
If you're going to play something like WoW just stick with WoW and don't kid yourself. If you want something new your best bet is to wait for Guild Wars 2.

I mean I wonder why you guys have hated on it so much. I am at least enjoying it for now. Can't speak on behalf of it's longevity because in all honesty, no mmo is going to be nearly as glitchless as WoW when WoW has had so many years to be fixed and patched. The game's pvp looks like it needs some major work- but the questing is has been pretty fun so far

I'm willing to bet this game will be dead within a month.

Lol, almost 800,000 (thousand) pre-orders. I doubt it'll be dead within a month. Also stop hating, SWTOR is freaking AMAZING.a1dan wrote:I'm willing to bet this game will be dead within a month.
