Other people can like and support DLC all they want, but when I feel like I'm getting 75% of the game for my original purchase, I'm not going to play the game. At this point I have no interest in PC gaming, other than indie games and platformers.

And Skyrim, WoW, Deus Ex, etc etc.

You can make personal compromises all you want, but companies like Ubisoft aren't saints either, even if they're responsible for good games like Rayman.

I had pre ordered HL2 got the higher up package, then picked up Episode 1, then after all that you couldn't just buy episode 2. No I had to buy everything again I had paid for. To be told, ahhh but you can give them away to other people. Yes those people who already had the fucking game to begin with and were in the same boat.
No, they were giving you the previous games for free, and charging $50 for 3 new games where two of them could have gone individually for $50. If Valve had put the orange box at $100, then go ahead and complain at forced purchasing of bundles.

I am ashamed a thread I started ended up like this. Excuse me while I go make sacrifices to the forum gods in a hope that they will understand that what is written here has nothing to do with me.

so i did decide to play it, and i actually don't mind it but i do have a few gripes:

things i didn't mind:
the dialogue wasn't as bad as the leaked script i read made it sound
the graphics get better after the first level, the armor still looks kinda crappy but you see less 2d sprites and more particle effects (there are actually fire 2d spritesi n the first level, but later on they have the particles, wat bioware.)
the gun upgrades and gun unlocks are SO much better, exploring isn't as good as it use to be as most unlocks are handed to you and so obviously placed on the map, but there are A LOT of unlocks
planetary exploring comes with risk/reward. if you search too much the reapers come and find you on the space map thing, but they are really easy to avoid.
most guns are a lot more diverse now, which is nice
combat is SO MUCH more different, there are now people wielding combat shields, there are nukers and there are engineers that place turrets, it's different to say the least.

things i didn't like:
the guns had pretty bad textures, as does armor
your squadmates are still dumb as hell ai
all classes are borderline op, i'm not even kidding, if you make sure you have 200% increased power reduction cooldown, you can spam all hell out of your abilities, but this quits working as well later on, so you just max the hell out of warp and kill scrubs quicker than before.
the map levels are really streamlined most of the time, there's some parts where exploration is ok but it's streamlined hard
hacking/bypassing was removed. bioware is stupid.
the field of view is small as hell and it's even worse with the hyper tech armor thing sentinels get, i canbarely see the enemies onmy screen.

ill probably think of other stuff
