How to backup your favorite servers list

Post by 510 Baud One » Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:33 am

I wish it were me giving a "How-To" but I have not figured it out. I had everything else backed up though with no issue.

Anyone have any insight on this curious case?

I think Valve now stores your serverlist on their cloud so if you use the steam servers menu you should keep them through reinstalls and multiple machines, general steam server list instead of just the game list. The IPs are stored not the DNS name.

Hmmmm, interesting. I will try that, anyway to access the list of IPs via a file inside the steam directory?
