SMITE 2 Beta Keys

They just announced beta participants get 2 beta keys to give to friends.

Smite is a FPS version of DoTA. Very smooth and even caters to my crappy laptops graphics. So yea first come first serve.

Hopefully once your in the beta you can get more keys to pass out and we can get everyone who wants in, into the beta.

Games fun.

Needs some polish. Not surprising, seeing as it's in beta. My first win, I was shooting at the minotaur, last player on my team alive, getting beat on by 3 enemy players. My camera jumps to a different angle of the same space, I assume I'm dead, everything starts to slow down, I'm back at the menu. Apparently that was victory. Some sort of indicator would have been grand.

All (most?) of the abilities are skill-shots and there is no z-axis targeting. It's actually a lot of fun. Jungle seems well constructed, though I've not tried a dedicated jungle character. Item purchases are simplified with tiered items that you can upgrade as you get the money to do so. In place of LoL's summoner spells, you can purchase some activated abilities during the match which serve similar purposes. You can also purchase passive boosts in these slots.

I can't find any information regarding what will be for sale in this game. I know they say they won't go pay2win. But they said the same for Tribes: Ascend then LOLJACKAL. I see that heroes will sell for $2-4 depending on your points bundle discount. I figure they'll sell experience and earned currency boosters.

The game has Offerings (think LoL runes) coded in and locked out. They were apparently unlocked at some point, and appeared to only be purchasable with earned rather than purchased currency. The developers have said they're debating whether or not anything from outside the game should affect the play and may not re-enable these.

I'll go get this on my other computer, since I don't have enough space on this one. It looks interesting. a Whopping 10gig though, jeeze!

I paid the $8 dollars for a fucking key.

It seems to take around 2GB of space with around a 1.5GB download. I will check the numbers when I am at my computer. Note that I have Shazbot! installed as well.

This game is fucking great.

The heros are fun, the abilities are fun, and I like how its more gank/fighting heavy than item/farming.

I just hate how all the heroes arnt available at the start.

I've only played one real game so far, I've been seeing what all the different gods do in the solo match. My favorites so far are Ra, Ao Kuang, Artemis, and Anubis. Sucks that the selection is so limited in the pvp game though.
