SMNC is a third-person shooter with MOBA mechanics sorta forced in. This is a third-person MOBA. They are very different.

Think league, put it in third person, which in turn makes it faster-paced, easier to gank/be ganked, keeps you on your toes. I like it :3

So basically higher ratio MOBA to FPS than SMNC? That makes sense I guess. Thing with games like league and dota etc is that I've just "mastered" league, and while dota isn't too different in the basics, knowing the heroes/champions is half the game and I'm just not willing to invest that much time in a game that's actually just a twin of what I'm already playing. Same with SMNC, and tf2 is semi-recently becoming the same since I stopped keeping up with the updates, I just don't know how to counter someone with some new weapon that I've never seen before, and once or twice a week is obviously acceptable, but if everyone has different new and seemingly OP weapons it's pretty discouraging.

The thing that sets smite apart from league is basically the layout of the jungle, besides the champion and camera differences. But it is not an fps at all really - it has the same kind of skill targeting system as traditional MOBA's - it's really just a camera and map layout change. I hope that made sense.
In some other time and space, I found time for a new signature.

And you don't stack items and such, and Phoenixes act as inhibitors that shoot projectiles. You also (obviously) play with WSAD instead of clicking to move.
