Gas Ka-don't?

So question. Who the hell actually likes gas kaboom.

I mean, my experience with the map is everyone turtles and snipers shooting into the spawn. So I obviously am not the best judge. I would not mind it so often, (hell basic training is a turtle fest but I don't mind it), but it's been getting nominated and voted for A LOT lately. So I guess I'm just fishing for people's opinions on a map that I am, frankly, shocked to see get played so often.

gas kaboom is a great map when there isn't noobs trying to run the intel back to your base.

It requires coordination to actually win, faffing about will get you nowhere, the only way it can become a campfest is if your team is showing utter incompetence, so basically it's your fault, map's fine.

plus epic engineering by building in there cap can be Quite fun, nothing like pissing off a team who tries to over run you in a base you have carved in there base

I'm diggin this map. Every time it comes up I have a great time.

The lockdown and purge of the losers kind of gets annoying, especially with how long the doors take to reopen, but other than that I feel like it's a pretty well balanced map.

As said before, it's a map that is only as good as the people playing it. Perhaps it can be taken off the cycle, but can still be allowed to be nominated? If that's at all possible?

I'd take gas kaboom over rooftime any day and this is coming from the guy who used to nominate rooftime every single time for the last few years.

I actually really like gas kaboom. It's just a little too small for me though.

People saying it requires coordination ,but realistically if the players in the server do not achieve this (usually what happens)
then it doesn't work in the server.

map sucks.

what usually happens is 8 people sniper war, engies camp at the intel and cap points, maybe with a pyro (however pyros usually have low attention spans and probably leave after 5 minutes to go get sniped.) Ubers get shut down since the way over there is so far and open, and people practically instantly respawn. Sometimes spies get it in if no ones paying attention (usually how the map ends if ever.) Waste of time.
