Its pretty good, because its very big, and it has infinite universes, and plenty of stuff to find, and pirates to kill and you get to build your own space ship, which I think is very fun.

MInecraft has near infinite landscapes (yes I know there is a set limit to worlds, but its almost guaranteed with this 'starmade' as well), vanilla or pvp has "pirates" (read: raiders) that kill you, and you can build your own "ship" (house). The space thing is a gimmick, and when it boils down, it's still a minecraft clone albeit a very bad one filled with bugs and a lack of features.
