So I heard about this and thought I might test it for myself. Its basically a super easy way of capturing game footage through your video card, which also means there is no drop in performance. It also has a setting to capture the last 5-20 min of gameplay if you miss sometime. You need at least a 600 series nvidia card to use it though. Still in beta, but I like it so far, and I think they are integrating twitch into too. I made some test videos in Ass Bros 4

yup, and it doesn't look like its coming to the 500s ever. Try harder next time.


also I made a video for woogie, since she loves water so much. Turns out it records all audio, not just in game audio, oops. There is also an add mic volume in settings.

I just got a 660ti and saw this feature in the latest nvidia driver update... was wondering what it was about. So far only tf2 and dota2 are supported, why isnt it open to every game? If it supports twitch in the future that would be pretty neat

Been using this since it went into beta. The only thing I don't like about it is that it requires the game to be fullscreen, so you can't use it when in a borderless window. Other than that, I really enjoy being able to record my games at full definition without any performance loss. If only they could somehow tie this into streaming on Twitch.

Oh, apparently that's their goal with it. I can't wait, I'm tired of dealing with the mediocre streaming programs that are currently available.

So a new update for Shadowplay came out to. Now you can capture your desktop and therefor, every game ever. Also I forgot to update here when they added twich, but yeah, that shit is built in now.
Made a dark souls vid. Still picks up all computer noise. Look how great I am and how I never lose.

They don't really specify what kind of FPS impact this has. Very vague.

I haven't seen any noticeable fps drop in all of my recordings. Haven't done much twitch streaming with it, but I feel like my internet connection would be the limiting factor.
