How long's it been since the server had new maps? Would that help or is that a stretch?

The nest way I can see to get more server population, is to wait for the next big update. Assuming we get a new map and weapons.

(P.S. I love your profile picture, Bao! Youku for prez 2016. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))

Yea, getting new maps isn't an issue. Keeping the server populated is a very tricky thing nowadays as it can nearly fill up on one map only to completely empty on the next, even when the map isn't necessarily bad.

I'm always a bit confused as to what gets a server consistent traffic.

I thought maybe at first it was the popularity of a game but TF2 is already pretty popular.

Maybe it has more to do with a consistent population of regs being in the server.

Moving the server back to California would probably help.

Nor for us Southern Texarkanans

The big elephant in the room is trying to keep alive an almost decade long game.
As of two days ago, tf2 is officially 8 years old.

Like imagine if tf2 was our lil baby daughter, by now she will probably be close to menarche
And sorta wanting more independance and hanging out with her friends til 10pm.
You get the idea
